Russ Martin is a famous on-air personality. He has worked in the industry for almost 30 days. He grew up in Pleasant Grove in southeast Dallas and he began his radio career in 1980 working for KGVL 1400 AM. He used to run the board for religious programs from 6 to 12 PM in Greenville, Texas. Ten years later he was hired by KTLR 107.1 FM in order to play country music on the weekends in Terrell Texas.
He was hires by several other radio stations until in 1987, he started working for KEGL station, in Dallas. There, he hosted Eagle and a talk show on Sunday nights. He also hosted several TV shows and he is known for his charity work. He even funded the Russ Martin Show Listeners in 2002 to make collection for firefighter and policemen fallen on duty.
Russ Martin live show started on KYNG in 2000 in the morning slot and then he was moved to the 3 to 7 PM slot. KYNG changed call letter to KLII and Russ Martin Show increased his rating month after month, being awarded for the best talk show host in radio station in 2005. KLII incorporated more live sorts and Russ was hired by KEGL in 2010.
